About Us

“But you have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem … to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.”

The World Mission Society Church of God is a Christian non-denominational church with more than 7,000 locations and 2.7 million registered members in 175 countries. The Church of God believes in Elohim God—God the Father and God the Mother—based on the Bible.

Christ Ahnsahnghong founded the Church of God in 1964 in South Korea, a prophetical land in the Bible. Since its founding, the Church of God has become a beacon of light to those searching for the original teachings with which Jesus Christ established the Early Church.

Just as the Early Church celebrated the Sabbath day, the Passover and the seven feasts of God, the Church of God does too. In fact, it is the only Christian church that keeps the feasts of God according to the New Covenant that Jesus established.

The Church of God has grown exponentially since its founding. In New York, the Church has one location in Floral Park in Long Island and another one in New Windsor, right in the Hudson Valley.

When they’re not fervently studying the Bible, members of the Church of God are carrying out volunteer activities to serve their local communities and deliver the love of Christ.

Hundreds of government officials, organizations, and leaders of nations have recognized the Church of God for its continual devotion to serving communities. In 2016, Queen Elizabeth II presented the Church of God with the Queen’s Voluntary Service Award, the top award in the United Kingdom given to organizations. Through this award, the Church of God also gained the title of MBE—Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire—a title that is recognized by 52 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, including Canada, Australia, India, and Singapore.
