God the Mother and Eternal Life
Life distinguishes planet Earth from all other planets and stars in the galaxy and universe. Where does all life on earth come from? All life comes from mothers.
Without mothers, life could not be brought forth, raised and passed on from generation to generation. It is easy to understand that if mothers did not exist, life could not exist; and if life exists, it is because mothers exist. It is the same spiritually.
Understanding God the Mother Through the Bible and Nature
No one can deny the God-given principle of nature: all living things have a mother. Why did God make it this way?
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive all glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Revelation 4:11
All things—even the principle of nature—contain the will of God. It is through what God created that we can come to understand who God is and what is God’s will. Then what can we learn from the fact that we need mothers to have life?
First, consider heaven. It is a place of eternal life. Then, according to God’s principle, there must be an eternal Mother—God the Mother. God testified about Mother from the book of Genesis.
God the Mother in Genesis
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image and likeness. And let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the tame animals, over all the earth, and over all the small crawling animals on the earth.”
Genesis 1:26 (NCV)
When God spoke, God used plural terms, “us” and “our,” indicating that Creator God is more than one.
So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female.
Genesis 1:27 (NCV)
Human beings were created “in the image of God”—not of angels or any other being. Then male and female come from God: God of male image and God of female image. Since God of male image is known as our Father (Mt 6:9), naturally, God of female image must be our Mother.
The Bible Calls Her “Our Mother”
But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
Galatians 4:26
“Our mother” means She is the Mother of all mankind. All people who believe in God call Her “Mother” because She is God.
Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. . . .Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
Galatians 4:29, 31
By becoming children of the free woman, God the Mother, we are also children of promise who can live eternally in heaven. God reserved this mystery to be revealed in the last days.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.
Revelation 22:17 (NLT)
The prophecies of the book of the Revelation are fulfilled in our time. This is why, now, not before, the Spirit and the Bride—God the Father and God the Mother—are calling Their children to give them the water of life—namely, eternal life. And for there to be life, there must be Mother.
The Characteristics of Mothers
Mothers instinctively care and nurture their children, they raise them and teach them how to live upright lives. These actions are all in accordance to God’s will, to demonstrate that their nature comes from God the Mother. What we see mothers do is simply a shadow of how God the Mother takes care of our spirit.
Without mothers, there is no life. Without God the Mother, there is no eternal life. There can be eternal life in heaven because of the existence of God the Mother. Come to the World Mission Society Church of God and learn more about God the Mother and Her testimony in the Bible.
